Fibromyalgia: Testing and Therapeutic Options
Fibromyalgia is a disorder characterised by musculoskeletal pain accompanied by fatigue, sleep, mood and memory issues. Other symtoms may include tension headaches, joint disorders, bowel disorder, anxiety and depression.
While there is no known cure for fibromyalgia, a variety of medications can help control symptoms.
Treatment of Infections Associated with Fibromyalgia
Infections, such as Epstein-Barr Virus and Borrelia infections, can be treated with general protocols or with precision treatments such as with Supportive Oligonucleotide Therapy, SOT.
SOT is still under development and is only offered in specilised clinics.
Below is an example of a test panel is designed ArminLabs to indicate infections caused by pathogens associated to Fibromyalgia and Rheumatoid Arthritis* and not as a tool to diagnose Fibromyalgia and Rheumatoid Arthritis.
This test panel includes:

Causes and Treatments of Fibromyalgi (FM)
The cause of fibromyalgia is unknown, but is believed to involve a combination of genetic and environmental factors such as psychological stress, trauma, and certain infections. The treatment of fibromyalgia is symptomatic and multidisciplinary.
Defining symptoms of fibromyalgia are chronic widespread pain, fatigue, and sleep disturbance.
There are several studies indicating that there is a correlation between certain pathogens, such as Epstein-Barr Virus (EBV) and Fibromyalgi (FM):
2015 a study published in Journal of Neurology and Neuroscience by Reshkova V, Kalinova D and Milanov I, showed results revealing that high Epstein-Barr Virus EBV IgG concentrations in the serum of patients with Fibromyalgi correlated with pain intensity and associated clinical symptoms. This is consistent with the fact that Fibromyalgi is connected to the immune response to certain infectious agents (e.g. Epstein-Barr Virus (EBV), Cytomegalovirus (CMV).”
2009 a study Neurological Disease Produced by Varicella Zoster Virus Reactivation Without Rash by Don Gilden et al showed that Zoster is often followed by chronic pain (postherpetic neuralgia).
2019 a study showed association of Parvovirus B19 with fibromyalgia.
“My friend helped me find a treatment in Germany that cured me from a borrelia infection after 14 years of chronic infection. With Infection Sherpa I hope to help others find help just as I did”
