Treatments and Tests for Chronic Infections
Infection Sherpa offers information about tests and studies that can guide clinics and patients to find suitable treatments for chronic infections or help create nutritional habits that supports the immunsystems fight against infections.
Treating chronic infections requires a combination of precision test and treatments. Infection Sherpa also offers information on the latest in research on chronic infection treatments.
One such treatment is SOT, a breakthrough therapy in research. The treatment is based on silencing genes in bacteria, virus and parasites and thereby disrupting their ability to survive and replicate.
The SOT therapy is individualised for each patient, based on a blood sample from the patient, containing the specific bacteria, virus or parasite causing symtoms.
SOT Therapy for Conditions Associated with Infections
Infections can cause, trigger or co-exist with a number of different diseases and symtoms. Bacteria infections are to a large extent treatable with antibiotics, but in some cases the antibiotics are insufficient. One such case is chronic Lyme or late stage Lyme disease.
Numerous studies have evidenced that COVID-19 is able to reactivate dormant pathogens, which are often one of the prime causative agents in Long Covid/Post-Covid Syndrome. The Herpes viruses most frequently found are EBV, CMV and HHV-6, as well as the Enterovirus Coxsackie. Bacterial infections implicated are Chlamydia and Mycoplasma, and Borrelia.
There are treatments being developed based on SOT that supports the immune system’s fight against virus and parasites, but also bacterial infections not treatable with antibiotics (See study). SOT is still in an experimental state and not classified as a drug but as a personalised advanced medical therapy administered according to an individual treatment plan by the specific physician. Personalised therapies regulation differ between countries.

SOT Treatmet in Practice
SOT, Supportive Oligonucleotide Therapy, is based on a blood sample containing bacteria, virus and parasite strains causing the symtoms.
The personalised SOT molecules are made in a laboratory and sent in freeze dried form to the treating clinic.
The SOT is then injected intravenously at the clinic and is effectively stopping the reproduction of the targeted pathogen.
“My friend helped me find a treatment in Germany that cured me from Lyme decease after 14 years of infection.
With Infection Sherpa I hope to help others
find a cure just as I did”
